Two score and two years ago, our journey began as two shy teenagers in the lovely sanctuary of Beth Eden Baptist Church. We'd greet one another with a wave or quick hello every Sunday for an entire Summer, but never much more. Life took each of us on incredible individual paths. Glenn became a Chicago Police officer and started a family, while I took a path of traveling the world on two runways—one in fashion and the other with the airlines.

While we both have overcome our own mountains and valleys in this lifetime, God granted our souls the opportunity to be in a good place. So, if two individuals are so content with life, how does one accept there may be something even better around the corner? Only by God’s divine intervention.

We both believe there is no such thing as a coincidence. We have lived in the same area, one mile apart, shopped in the same stores and have had a few common friendships in the 40-plus years since our first meeting, yet, have NEVER run into each other until December 9, 2023. On that day, at the homegoing service of a dear friend, Glenn asked, "Will Angie be here?" While Glenn was very interested in finding out if the sparks we once shared may still have a chance to flame, I, on the other hand, was a little more reluctant and cautious.

The reconnection seemed like a good thing, but it took a bit of outside encouragement to begin an unofficial date that day . A short ride home led to hours of conversation discovering the many things we had in common.

From the start of our relationship, we've experienced the most incredible and fun dates ever! We both love the usuals... concerts, movies, plays and sporting events.

However, we also appreciate the quiet times of watching the sunset or kicking back listening to some good R&B music. If you know us, you KNOW music is our love language!

Over the past two years, our lives have become more intertwined and the next natural step of this incredible life’s journey, is to become one. Knowing this in his heart, on July 2, 2025, Glenn set up a surprise proposal during a simple reminiscent walk in front of Beth Eden Baptist Church---where it all began.

This is where you come in! We are so incredibly happy to share the next chapter of our lives. We invite you to be witnesses as we commit our lives to each other in the presence of God.
